More Search Engine Traffic Means More Money

Wednesday 31 October 2007 @ 5:59 am

In my first post, I showed you that blogs make money because they bring in more search engine traffic than just a static website. Having fresh content and evidence that your site is popular rewards you with a higher position in the search engine results page.

Traffic is the one of the crucial ingredients to having a profitable business – and blogs can give you that.

But there is another critical requirement.Simply having a blog full of postings and comments will not make you money.

Imagine opening up a sporting goods store in your town. You place an ad in the newspaper. This ad hits a resonant chord and pulls in hundreds of people to your door. The problem is that your shelves are bare.

As this scenario illustrates: you need a product to sell. Maybe you have a product in mind. Perhaps you have a business already. Perhaps you are looking for a product or products to sell.

In this posting, I am going to address this last possibility. You want to make money online but have no product. One solution to this problem is something called affiliate marketing.

What is affiliate marketing?

In a nutshell, affiliate marketing is selling other people’s products and getting a percentage of the sale. There are thousands of people online with products they want to sell. These people are willing to give you anywhere from 2 to 75% of the price, if you bring them new customers.

In many cases, the person with the product has a website that you can use. So you don’t have to have a website. The site has sales copy designed to convert a visitor into a customer. This is the third essential component of a thriving business. Having products and attracting traffic are critical but it is just as important that all those visitors go from being shoppers to buyers.

The person with the product also has a method already for in place for making the financial transaction as well. So once you bring a potential customer to the sales page, your job is over. If a sale is made then you are sent the money on a regular basis.

Obviously not everyone going to a sales page purchases what is offered. It is quite likely that the person selling the product has collected statistics showing what percentage of visitors actually buys. If that number is high, you can make some good money. The good news is that becoming an affiliate is usually free.

All you need to do is get an affiliate ID – which is actually a unique link that you put in your blog at the end of every post you make. You will see such a link at the end of this article.

So by now, you might be wondering what it takes to set up a traffic-pulling blog.

In the next post I will write about this important subject and get into some of the details of how to drive more search engine traffic to your blog.

Travel & Leisure, Exploding Industries as Baby Boomers Look Forward .

Wednesday 31 October 2007 @ 5:09 am

As the first Baby Boomer just reached the social security application process, Travel & Leisure industries are re-tooling their marketing and sales projections. The travel industry is already a three trillion pluss dollar industry, but Katie bar the doors. The boomers, not only reaching the official age for retirement, they also will be controlling large sums of assets from family estates. This adds up to explosive growth for vendors of travel and leisure. It would be wise for niche marketers to carve out a huge chunk of the pie by offering extreme value packages to the thrifty and wise. Boomers, some with unlimited resources and some with limited budgets, will be looking to extend their leisure activites into the extended longevity of their years ahead. Look at, for example, the growth in popularity of such hot spots like Costa Rica. Costa Rica is The Hawaii of the 60’s. Fueled, not only by burgening masses of American tourists but European tourists as well. Americans and Europeans for the same reasons, but mostly the value of the Euro against the dollar. The trend, none the less, indicates traveler are looking for the most exotic bang for the buck. You can keep up to date on events, surrounding travel and travel news at www.JustTravelNewsBlog.com The trend and the future, I believe, is in all inclusive vacation packages, co-operative vendors throwing in add-ons and co-oping ad dollars. Other value offers such as time-shares, FAM packages, “typically cruise familiarization routes”,special discounts for first times, and specials negotiated by wholesalers and brokers of travel from vendors. Their is a number of travel packages out there now, but watch the growth… Try this one www.PassportToTravel.US Enjoy your extended years and see new places and discover different cultures, if you can. It’s being made easier and cheaper, all the time… John Notary Comments (0) | Posted in Internet Marketing News

Christmas Is almost here!

Sunday 21 October 2007 @ 6:37 am

Do you feel the childhood anticipation building up as the year draws nearer to that time of the year when you know that you and your family live for every year? The wonderful season of christmass.

You may be a sceptic or somebody who doesn’t like the commercialism attached to the season. But there is no denying its amazing pull. Children have started to nag their parents about the latest gizmos and gifts they wish to receive from Santa. They are unrelenting because they trully want those gifts.

There are some good and bad websites that supply this and both types have been reviewed at this site and the Christmas Review site.

The season is laden with money and people love to spend money to make their lives meaningful. There are ways to give great gifts without spending a single red cent and anyone can do it if they search hard enough through the above sites. The carols can be found with fun and interesting things to do in christmas. As long as you avoid last minute rush.

So please let up your guard and enjoy the festive season. Its full of magic and wonder.

SEO: How to choose the right consulting company

Saturday 20 October 2007 @ 3:16 am

A good search engine optimisation (SEO) company should not need to advertise their services through PPC advertising, but should appear naturally high in the search engine rankings. Therefore avoid any SEO company that advertises through PPC listings.

Ideally we would recommend choosing any company that appears high in the rankings for words such as ‘Suchmaschinenoptimierung‘. However some of the companies in the top few places are using short term ‘unethical tactics’ that are frowned upon by Google. These risk being dropped from Google. If a company uses such tactics on their own website, then we advise not using them as you risk your website being removed completely from Google.

The best choice is therefore a search engine optimisation company that appears on the top few pages of the search engines AND guarantees only to use ethical techniques.

Other deciding factors might be:

* Will the SEO company give client references or example websites?
* Are you tied into a long contract? Good SEO companies will not need to do this.
* Does the Internetagentur have an established track record. We are surprised how many 'SEO companies' have a large portfolio of websites with little or no Google PageRank.
* Who does the SEO work? Many 'top SEO companies' outsource this as well. In 2007 some 'top SEO companies' are spending over 2,000 €/month on outsourcing their own SEO.
* Does the SEO company have long standing SEO clients?
* Have previous clients experienced problems with your potential SEO 'experts'? To find this out type the company name followed by words such as 'problems' into Google. Some comments may be unfair, but a lot of negative critism should cause concern.
* How well does the SEO company's own website do, and do they handle their own SEO? It is strange that some of the "top" SEO consulting companies actually outsource their own SEO.
* Has the company's own website ever been banned from the search engines? To find this out type the company name followed by words such as 'banned' into Google. If an SEO company lets its own website get banned should you trust them with yours?

Introduction to Web Traffic

Saturday 20 October 2007 @ 3:15 am

There are an enormous number of formulas that you will be able to make real income online. Whether you are dealing with advertisement, marketing actual merchandise, or selling information, you determine your success or failure through your ability to get potential customers to visit your web site.

If you started a business and put completely of your advertising on the side of dirt road with lowest traffic, then you likely will not see any result produced by that effort. In the same way, you wish your store to be located in a busy part of town where casual shoppers linger. Your best business might come from visitors who just dropped in while window-shopping.

The most crucial key to succeeding in any online related business is traffic. You must discover formulas to lead potential customers to your web site. If you believe you will be able to trust solely on the search engines to put you at the top of their lists, then you might be setting yourself up for failure. Search engines use a complicated formula when deciding which pages show up first. Unless yours is the only business of your kind in the globe that has a web site, you probably will not get to the top of the list. If for some reason you do, then you probably won’t stay there for very long. Corporations buy the rights to search phrases and generally pay big money for the opportunity to be highlighted at the top of the list.

One interesting point to keep in mind is that, the more traffic you have at your site, the more likely you are to slide up in the search engine results. The question then, is how do you get that initial flow of customers, clients, or readers to make your website a place that they regularly visit? This is the core question of this book and you’ll get plenty of answers to this question during the rest of the book. For example, as a basic rule, as you plan and design your website, you should be looking at other sites that are in the same genre as yours. Maybe they offer similar or complimentary services. Maybe they provide information about the same topic. Try to build relationships with the operators of these sites. Leave comments on their blogs and participate in forum discussions, leaving a link to your own page in your signature.

You may want to consider adding a blog to your website. Create an RSS feed that notifies subscribers whenever you have updated information. Be diligent about keeping the content on your page fresh and you will find that you begin to get repeat traffic. Others will begin to link to you from their own pages and list you as a valuable source of current information. Just as in any traditional business format, building relationships and networking will be vital pieces of your success.

The important thing, as you are beginning, is that you have a strong understanding of the fact that it takes some work. The hits flow at your web site won’t happen automatically. It involves careful planning and sharp execution to make that hit number climb up. In this book, we are going to show you how. Comments (0) | Posted in Internet Marketing News

Identity Theft Protection

Thursday 18 October 2007 @ 1:51 am

Identity theft, unfortunately, is a growing problem all over the world but especially so in places like North America and Europe where the internet has really boomed out and exceeded all of the expectations that it initially had. With the internet age of anonymous web browsing and IP concealment, it has become very easy for someone to steal the identity of another person and then use that identity against them in order to steal their money, use their credit cards and do a number of other things that can really end up making a person’s life miserable if they are unable to do anything to stop the person from stealing their identity. There are a number of different ways in which identity theft can take place and some of the more common ones are as follows:

Subscription changes: If a person wants to get a subscription that the other person has, then they might attempt to steal that person’s identity in an attempt to get the address for the subscription changed from the real person to the identity thief. This is the most common form of identity theft in that it can apply to magazines, newspapers, mail or anything else that you can think of. The address change scheme is one that has been going on well before the internet age, but now with the easier access to information that the online world has provided it has made it quite a bit easier for identity thieves to use the address change in order to pry into the private lives of an innocent human being.

Benefit changes: A lot of people in the world today have some kind of benefit that they are getting. Whether it is reimbursement through their insurance, regular payments for a disability or alternatively some sort of social security benefit that they now get because they are retired, the benefits that people get are prime target for identity thieves because people that usually get benefits are sometimes people that thieves figure are not going to be able to fight back that well (i.e. people who have had medical problems, people with a permanent disability or alternatively senior citizens). The identity thief, if they decide to go for the benefit changes scheme, will try to get a person’s full name and their date of birth in order to make the changes through the mailing system of the organization that is responsible for administering that benefit to the person that has just been the victim of theft. This is something that unfortunately happens all too often nowadays.

Monetary changes: While these are not the most common form of identity theft, at the same time they are the form that tends to get all of the attention. The attention inherent to identity theft goes to these changes because they are the ones that affect a person’s life the most deeply. Changes to credit card information and debit card information and then the using of those two pieces of monetary access can literally ruin another person’s life and that makes this the most serious form of identity theft.

Are 12 month millionaire audio tapes a scam?

Thursday 18 October 2007 @ 1:33 am

How possible is it to make a million dollars in 12 months using a $60 e-book? Unless you are under a rock you should have heard something about this marketer who made $100 million through the internet from Russel Brunson and Brent Coppieters. He earns more than 490 of the fortune 500 CEO’s and is in semi retirement.

Over 7200 people bought the audio interview within 20 days of launch. That’s over $200 000 in 10 days by affiliates and owners. Apparently they do not think it’s a scam. And neither do I.

The 12″ title=”http://www.course-marketing.com/12monthmillionaire\”>12″ target=”_blank”>www.course-marketing.com/12monthmillionaire”>12 MonthMillionaire Audio was launched on 3 October at $37 a pop and the price raised to $97 on 16 October 2007 midnight. The buzz was amazing and the affiliates were given front row seats to a nuclear launch.

The credibility of this audio interview is overwhelming considering the amounts talked about. I find it hard to believe that there is so much to true marketing that I needed to learn.

If you haven’t bought the interview before the price hike you can still grab” title=”http://www.course-marketing.com/12monthmillionaire\”>grab” target=”_blank”>www.course-marketing.com/12monthmillionaire”>grab it now as it is still extremely underpriced. These marketing audio’s may be removed in future.

I am going to continue listening to my copy now.
